About DogDex Cards
What is DogDex Cards? DogDex Cards is a community-driven pet trading card collection handmade in Vancouver, Canada. Every card is custom designed for a real pet — unique portrait, personalised stats, personality traits, and holographic finish. No two cards are alike. Just like the pets.
Who makes the cards? Every single card is designed and made by one person. This is not an automated service and we do not use AI your card. Your pet gets real time and real attention.
Do you only make cards for dogs? Dogs are our specialty but we also make cards for cats and other pets through our Animaldex range. If your pet has personality they deserve a card.
Ordering
How does it work?
- Choose your pack size
- Upload up to 3 photos of your pet
- Fill in the details — name, breed, personality, quirks, and anything else you want on the card
- We design your card by hand and ship it to you
Can I leave fields blank on the order form? Yes. You can leave any fields blank and we will complete the card in our own DogDex style. The more detail you give us the more personalised your card will be but we are happy to surprise you too.
Can I change my order after submitting? Yes but you have 24 hours after placing your order to request changes. Email us at support@dogdexcards.shop with your order number and the changes you need. After 24 hours your order enters production and changes may not be possible.
Do I need to double check my details before submitting? Please do. The details you provide go directly onto your card. We reproduce what you give us so any errors in your submission may appear on the final card.
Can I order a card as a gift? Absolutely. Cards make a great gift for any dog lover. Just enter the recipient's shipping address at checkout.
Pricing & Packs
What are my options?
- 1 card — $15 CAD
- 3 pack — $25 CAD
- 5 pack — $30 CAD
All prices are in CAD. Your currency will update at checkout.
What is included in each pack? Every custom pack includes your personalised card plus a random Dogdex community card to start or grow your collection. You also will recieve x1 Toploader sleeve per pack so your best pull is protected from day one.
Do you offer mystery packs? Yes. Our mystery packs include random cards from the Dogdex community collection. Great for collectors and trading with friends.
- 3 card mystery pack — $15 CAD
- 5 card mystery pack — $20 CAD
Production & Shipping
How long does it take? Production takes 5-10 business days on average before shipping. During busy periods this may extend to 2-3 weeks. We will always communicate any delays to you directly.
Do you offer express options? Yes. Contact us at support@dogdexcards.shop before placing your order and we will do our best to arrange something for you.
Where do you ship? We currently ship to Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
How much does shipping cost? Shipping is calculated at checkout using real time carrier rates. Most standard options are untracked. Tracked options are available at checkout where applicable for an additional cost.
Do I need to pay import taxes or duties? International customers are responsible for any import taxes, customs fees, or duties charged by their country. These are outside our control and are not included in your shipping cost.
Card Quality
Are the cards waterproof? No. These are handmade keepsakes and are not waterproof. We recommend storing them in sleeves or a binder to keep them in great condition. Every card ships in a protective sleeve.
What finish do the cards have? Every card ships with a holographic finish. 5 pack orders also include an exclusive specially designed holographic bonus card.
Are the cards the same size as standard trading cards? Yes. DogDex cards are standard trading card size and fit in standard sleeves and binders. They are 2.5" x 3.5"
Refunds & Issues
What is your refund policy? All sales are final as a standard policy due to the custom nature of every card. However if your card arrives damaged or there is a significant production error on our part we will always work with you to make it right. This may include a reprint, store credit, or in exceptional circumstances a refund. Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at support@dogdexcards.shop.
What if I am not happy with my card? Please reach out before assuming we can't help. We are a small operation and we genuinely care about every card we make. Email us at support@dogdexcards.shop with your order number and photos and we will do our best to find a fair resolution.
Giving Back
Does DogDex Cards donate to charity? Yes. 25% of every sale is donated to dog rescues and shelters. Donations are made monthly by the last business day of each month and receipts are published on our website so you can see exactly where the money goes.
What about foster and adoptable dogs? We have a special Foster & Adoptable Dogs collection featuring real pups currently in foster care or waiting for their forever home. Proceeds from these cards go directly to supporting their care and helping them find families. You can find them in the Foster & Adoptable Dogs section of our store.
What charities are you working with and how will we know a portion of our proceeds will go there? We focus on small, independent rescues and shelters — the ones doing incredible work without the big funding or visibility they deserve. Right now we're proud to support organisations like @raincostdogrescue, and we're always growing that list.
We intentionally partner with smaller rescues where a donation actually moves the needle; not organisations that have the resources to run without us.
We're also genuinely open to suggestions and partnership inquiries. If you know a small rescue or foster network that could use support, reach out. We'd love to hear from them.
As for transparency - Every donation comes with receipts. We will upload proof of transactions to this page monthly, so you can see exactly who received the funds, how much, and when. No vague promises, just a paper trail. 🐾
Please note: some of the dogs featured on this site are founding members who received cards as part of our early community launch. In those cases, no donation was made in exchange for their appearance as their cards were gifted as part of building the Dogdex community, not as a paid promotion.
