Hi there from the faces behind DogDex! We are a family of three; one sweet pup and her two mums (who might just be a little too obsessed with her). We’re based in Vancouver, Canada, and love calm, quiet walks on the beach early in the morning before the city starts buzzing.

The day we brought home our Kangaroo in 2023, we had a feeling something wasn’t quite right. A few short weeks after she arrived in her new home, her health began to decline. Over the months of weekly vet visits, blood tests, scans, and medications, Kangaroo developed pretty severe anxiety. Every sound, every new place, and every dog terrified her. We spent many days watching other dogs play across the park, but she just couldn’t find the courage to get closer and say hello.

We had such a strong desire to make connections with our neighbors and fellow dog parents, but our shy girl was happiest watching from the sidelines and, on rare occasions, going in for a quick drive-by butt sniff. We listened to her needs, but we also knew something was missing..... that community aspect we craved in our downtown neighborhood. We had so many questions:

• How can we interact with other dogs without putting pressure on Kangaroo?
• How can we create a sense of community without creating anxiety for our furry friends?
• Are there other dogs out there with the same sweet quirks as ours?
• What about the loving shelter dogs who share that same timid personality?

Aaaaaaand bingo! DogDex was born.

With DogDex cards, you can trade personal cards with neighbors, friends, coworkers, or just keep a stash for your pup shrine at home (we won’t judge). And of course, you can’t forget to snag a special adoptable dog card to share with your community! We’ve partnered with AdoptKR and Animal Services Vancouver to help spread the word about dogs around the world waiting to be welcomed home.

💛 100% of sales from our Adoptable Dog cards go straight to AdoptmeKR and other local foster shelters (pending) to support their mission of bringing pups in Korea to their forever homes. We’ve also committed to donating 25% of all DogDex sales to these incredible organizations.

And because no pack leaves without her say-so, every single DogDex order is sealed with Roo’s stomp of approval. She personally sniffs each pack to ensure quality; taking her role as Pawsurance and Quality Manager very seriously.
